to the bows at her neck and tying her apron on her backside

It's glazed on the interior to make it water tight

19th Century Single Pink Rose Watercolor crayon and pencil 1832-1935)I just can't resist these old floral watercolors, and perhaps roses most of all just such tenderly done things. I'd like to think this single rose was given to the object of it's maker Lizzie's affection, and that perhaps the five old horizontal fold lines meant she had to fold it up small and slip it inside a book, say, to deliver in secret! 5" x 7". Staining along the bottom edge and scattered, and some wear along the fold lines, but great color
