as I've had a few sets of those they remind me very much of

a bend in the cardstock weight paper near the lower left corner

I love the loop handle tail, and the old black and creamy white paint, and of course that face. 1940s or so I believe, and a good one for hanging in the kitchen (or barn!) 15 1 2 l x 8 5 8 t x 3 4 thick and in very good condition, with a bit of paint loss as evident, all to the good I think.
